Start from the Core
Before jumping to solutions, the first step is to understand the foundational layer of the problem. Take geometry, for example: a topic like plane geometry may appear complex, with multiple theorems and formulas. But if you start with the most basic elements—lines, points, and their relationships—you can build the entire structure from scratch.
By observing and exploring even the simplest cases, such as two intersecting lines, you uncover patterns naturally: vertically opposite angles, linear pairs, corresponding angles, alternate interior angles. From this core understanding, every theorem and property evolves organically.
The key is letting the problem “speak” to you, rather than imposing pre-set solutions. Ask questions, explore possibilities, and allow the patterns to emerge.

Build Sequentially, Layer by Layer
Once the core is clear, expand gradually. For example, with three lines on a plane, consider all possibilities: parallel lines, intersecting at one point, intersecting at multiple points. Observe how these possibilities lead to concepts like transversals, concurrency, or angle relationships.
The process isn’t just about formulas. It’s about activating the mind to see relationships and consequences step by step. Each new layer builds on the previous one, ensuring a natural flow rather than fragmented memorization.

Observation is central. By experimenting—drawing diagrams, exploring variations, questioning assumptions—you begin to derive properties and results yourself.
This method applies not only to geometry but to any field or problem in life. When you face challenges, starting from first principles and exploring outcomes organically leads to clarity and confidence.

In teaching, this meant demonstrating how a single theorem could produce 25–30 variations, rather than focusing on the few examples in textbooks.
In life, this translates to: don’t just seek the solution—map out all angles, explore the possibilities, and observe patterns. The outcome will follow naturally, often in ways you couldn’t anticipate at the beginning.
Engagement Over Memorization
Another lesson from teaching is the importance of interaction and active engagement. Instead of passively presenting information, pose questions, encourage exploration, and allow the learner to uncover patterns themselves.
This builds understanding that is deep, flexible, and lasting.
